Melanie Tribe-Scott, RN, RAC-MT, QCP
Melanie has over 20 years of experience in Long Term Care and has held a variety of positions - including CNA, Charge Nurse, Assistant Director of Nursing, MDS Coordinator, and Clinical Reimbursement Specialist.
Melanie is passionate about person centered care and resident advocacy. She has been a RAC-CT since 2011 and is also a Certified QAPI Professional. Melanie has consulted for several long term care facilities and has provided educational programs with Rhode Island Health Care Association on topics such as nursing documentation, MDS coding, and Quality Measures.
Linda J. Winston, RN, MSN, BS, QCP-MT, DNS-MT, RAC-CT
Linda has been a nurse with over 30 years, with almost 15 years as a Director of Nursing. Linda has filled many roles in the long-term care setting, including staff nurse, supervising nurse, nurse educator and administration.
Linda’s focus on improving resident care has driven her to a leadership role in the areas of the survey and certification processes, resident assessment, and clinical approaches to the improvement and prevention of skin alterations.
Barbara Bates, RN, MSN, RAC-CT, QCP-MT, DNS-MT
Barbara's 35 year nursing career included 10 years as a Director of Nursing in an upstate NY veterans home and a specialty in psychiatric nursing for psychogeriatrics, as well as extensive experience in nursing administration and facility management.
As a nursing educator and consultant, Barbara is a Gold STAMP facilitator and coach in MDS 3.0 and Resident Assessment, Care Area Assessments and Care Planning, Survey Preparation, Survey Deficiency Correction, Exceptional Care Planning, Restorative Nursing, Pressure Ulcer Program assessment and Safe Patient Handling.

The comprehensive QAPI Certified Professional Prep Course takes you step-by-step through the five QAPI elements, enabling you to complete Application Activities that will help you evaluate where you are today, where you need to be, and how best to get there with QAPIs.
This course was developed by AANAC's sister association the American Association of Directors of Nursing Services (AADNS) and prepares you to take the QCP certification exam.

Nursing Continuing Education Hours
The American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing (AAPACN*) is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. The RAC-CT 3-day workshop is approved for 22.5 CEs.
AAPACN* works in conjunction with the National Association of Long-Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) to provide nursing home administrators with continuing education credit for any AANAC workshop attended.
*The American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing (AAPACN) is the parent organization to AANAC.
CEs for the three-day workshop are based upon actual classroom attendance for the duration of the scheduled educational activity verified through sign-in sheets. If a student must leave before the activity is schedule to end or is late arriving, he/she will not receive full CE credit. Partial credit may be awarded. Each attendee, based on sign-in sheets/attendance, will receive the CE certificate upon completion of the education activity. The final certification exams are not a requirement for claiming a CE certification for the workshop.
AANAC and/or the training partner are not responsible for any fees incurred due to cancellations or postponements. Attendee cancellations must be submitted in writing to the AANAC office via email to workshops@AANAC.org. All cancellations received seven business days prior to the start date of the workshop will be refunded in full, minus a $50 processing fee. Refunds for cancellations received fewer than seven days prior to the start date of the workshop will not be issued, except for an emergency or a visit from State Surveyors. Registration fees cannot be transferred to another AANAC program.
